I’ve decided for these Top 5 Saturdays, I will be looking exclusively at books I want to read, but haven’t yet. It’ll keep things interesting.
Let’s get to it!

Books I want to read…
Stitching Snow – R. C. Lewis

Basically, this book is a retelling of Snow White in space…well, on a planet, but I think there’s probably some space travel involved. I’ve also seen a lot of people compare it to The Lunar Chronicles series, but this book was actually published first! Who knew that fairy tales set in space was such a big draw? I’m looking forward to checking this book out!
Illuminae – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

I have this on my TBR mostly because ever since I started blogging, I’ve come across so many people who absolutely LOVE this book and always recommend it. It seems to be the consensus on Goodreads, as well. Mostly, I want to see what all the fuss is about. I know I’m late to the party, but better late than never, right?
The Loneliest Girl in the Universe – Lauren James

Similar to Illuminae, this book is about a boy and a girl communicating through text in space. I’m really into books set on space ships. I don’t know why, other than I think space is fascinating and I’m curious about how various characters handle being in space, plus any and all the crazy things that can happen to them simply from being in space. I’ve heard both good and bad things about this book. I’m looking forward to seeing what I think of it, myself.
Space Opera – Catherynne M. Valente

I mostly just want to see what this crazy-sounding book is all about? If you asked me I couldn’t even tell you what it’s supposed to be about, other than that there’s some sort of epic contest in space…It sounds like a bunch of over-the-top craziness going on, but I’ve heard good things. Let me know in the comments if you’ve read it and liked it or not! I’m curious.
Last Shot: A Han & Lando Novel – Daniel José Older

Lastly, my fun pick! I came across this book not too long ago and knew I wanted to read it. Mostly because I’m a huge Han Solo fan (and a Star Wars fan, in general). This book sounds fun! Bounty hunters! Space travel! Fights! I’ve read a book by Older before, and it was pretty good. I’m hoping to enjoy this one as a quick, fun read.

Thoughts & Thanks
Thank you so much for reading this post! If you like this, check out some of my other content! Let’s chat in the comments! Are any of my books listed on your TBR? Have you already read any of these? What did you think?
Oh Illuminae is amazing! I also still want to read the loniest girl in the universe!

I so do not read enough space books. I don’t think I could even compile a top 5! 😉

I don’t read a whole lot, but I’d like to read more. These are all books I would like to read, so hopefully I can start expanding into that area!

I felt the same about Space Opera! Weird books strangely attract me. And I know! Stitching Snow is the book I never knew I needed to read! I hope I can get my hands on a copy!
