Hello again! It’s Tuesday, and of course that means it’s time for a Top 5 post. Top 5 Tuesdays and their topics are brought to you by Shanah @ the Bionic Bookworm. Check out her blog, she’s awesome, and this page for the list of topics for November!
So this week is focusing on my top five books I’m excited to read right now, my top TBR picks. I definitely have a few that I’m really eager to read. I have a large TBR, but there are definitely certain books that I’m itching to get to right away. I hope you enjoy my picks.

1. The Starless Sea – Erin Morgenstern

I’ve talked about my love of The Night Circus on this blog before. It’s been years since Morgenstern published this book and she hasn’t written anything new, until now! As soon as I heard about this book I knew I had to read it. I know the hype is setting the bar high and maybe this book doesn’t match The Night Circus in terms of my love for it. But I’m ready for another story by this fantastic storyteller!
2. Frankly in Love – David Yoon

I’ve been seeing this book everywhere and have heard so many good things about it. It doesn’t hurt that I also love reading books about Korean culture. I am also a sucker for a cute love story, which I think this book definitely is. I’m so ready to read it – too bad there’s such along waiting list at my library! I hope to get it soon!
3. Angel Mage – Garth Nix

I love, love, love Garth Nix! He’s such a brilliant storyteller and I love that he creates such intricate, beautiful fantasy stories – usually full of badass women who take care of business! This book is also a standalone, which I love simply because I’m feeling burnt out by the YA series trend! I’m looking forward to seeing what Nix has in store with this one.
4. Case Histories – Kate Atkinson

Funny thing about this one – I didn’t know it was a book when I started watching a show by the same name! It had Jason Isaacs in it, what more do you need? Anyway, I was looking more into the show and I discovered that it was based off of this book by the same name. I want to read it before I get any further in the television series – unfortunately, it’s taken a while to get my hands on a copy from my library. But now I have it and I’m excited to read it!
5. With the Fire On High – Elizabeth Acevedo

I keep seeing book reviews for this one and I really love the premise. I want to read it soon! We got it in at my library, but I didn’t manage to snag it in time and it got checked out by someone else. Then I have other books that I’ve been reading for challenges and here we are and I still haven’t read it! Well, hopefully I’ll get my chance this month or next. I want to see what all the hype is about and to see if it is as good as it sounds.

Thoughts & Thanks!
What do you think of my selections? Did any of your favorites make it on this list? Thank you for reading this post. Let’s chat in the comments! And, as always, happy reading!
Great post! I cannot believe that I completely forgot The Starless Sea was coming out in November… immediately adding it to my own TBR!

We are, but I guess I would rather have the problem of too many books to read than not having any, lol! Thank you for reading and great post to you as well!

He’s great! Fantasy, usually, if that’s your thing. I highly recommend him as an author.

Three of these are actually on my immediate TBR too, I’m just waiting for them to come into the library so hopefully I’ll get to read them all soon. Although I have a feeling that the waitlist for Starless Sea is massive
