I’m so glad to be getting back into these Top 5 Saturdays! I missed doing them and I look forward to future prompts.
I tend to focus on books I have on my TBR for these posts, but I’m mixing it up this week with books I’ve read as well as ones I’d like to read.
Anyway, let’s get to it!

Books I’ve Read…
Pantheon: The True Story of the Egyptian Deities – Hamish Steele

This is a graphic novel and it is hilarious! I love the artwork and the stories are told with such a light-hearted, comedic tone. It’s a fun book and if you like Egyptian mythology, I highly recommend you check it out.
A Thousand Beginnings and Endings – Edited by Ellen Oh

I only just read this book last month and I really enjoyed it. It’s a collection of short stories by YA authors of color who have re-imagined various mythology stories from their culture. I really enjoyed seeing such a wide array of Asian and South Asian stories being retold. It’s mostly a fantasy/sci-fi blend, so if that’s your thing, check it out!
Books I Want to Read…
The Red Pyramid – Rick Riordan

I’ve read Riordan’s Percy Jackson series, which covers Greek mythology, but I have yet to read his Egyptian mythology series. So I’m really hoping to read this book soon! It sounds really good and I really enjoy reading about Egyptian mythology, so I’m sure I’ll enjoy reading it.
Aru Shah & the End of Time – Roshani Chokshi

I haven’t read any of the books coming out of the Rick Riordan Presents imprint, but I really, really want to! I’m so glad he’s opening a door for #ownvoices! Chokshi’s series deals with Indian mythology, which I don’t know much about. I learned a little after having read A Thousand Beginnings and Endings, but I’m excited to learn more! I’ve heard really good things about this series.
Dragon Pearl – Yoon Ha Lee

I love all things Korean culture and so I was excited to see that the Riordan imprint was publishing this book, which focuses on Korean mythology! I like that it’s also a bit sci-fi, too, because I really enjoy reading from that genre. I hope to read this book soon!
