April was a real drag for me. I just didn’t feel motivated to read. I managed to get through the majority of the books I planned to read this month, but I didn’t finish Vicious in time. Still, I feel quite accomplished! This was the last month where I needed to read books for my class, so next month I have a little more wiggle room!

Favorite Book of the Month:

I was really surprised by this book! Middle-grade lit can be very hit and miss, but this book really appealed to me. I loved reading about Amal and her life in Pakistan, reading about her difficulties and seeing her overcome them. The writing was really easy to read and the story unfolded at the perfect pace. This is just a great book and I will be recommending it quite frequently now!
Least Favorite Book of the Month:

I’ll be upfront and say that I wouldn’t have finished this book if it hadn’t been required for my class. I love reading nonfiction, but in this case I didn’t get to pick, really. My go-to areas of nonfiction are pretty specific, and this one just didn’t fit in them. I learned a bit so, I can’t say I completely regret the reading, but I didn’t really enjoy the writing of this book. It felt quite tedious.

How about you?
How was your month of reading? Did you meet any of your goals? What was your favorite book you read this month? Least favorite? Let me know in the comments!
Also, May the 4th be with you!!!

Looks like you had quite a good reading month! I hope May is just as good!
