Favorite Book of the Month:

Brother’s Keeper by Julie Lee is one of those books that really touches you deeply. I have a very deep interest in Korea and in the Korean war. But even without that, this book is so well written and so interesting and I’m fascinated by the fact that it’s based on stories from her own family’s life. This is Lee’s debut novel, and I can’t wait to see what else she’ll write.
Least Favorite Book of the Month:

I really just did not get this book. I really didn’t find it to be very horrific, but I had to find something to fill this prompt (a horror book published by an indie press) and I thought the premise sounded interesting. Well, I was completely wrong and in fact I found this book to be very, very dumb. Supposedly the author likes to write absurdist literature, and I actually hate reading anything absurdist, so it was my bad for picking this one. Thank goodness it was short!

How about you?
