August TBR

New month, new books! I think I’ve got a good line-up for August. I’m still in the middle of reading a few books, so there will probably be more books I’ll end up reading than are on this list, but I like to keep it short and stress-free.

Anyway, here is what I plan to read this month (we’ll see if that actually happens!):

Unbought and Unbossed by Shirley Chisholm

This is my Reading Women challenge pick to read this month, which is for the prompt for a book about a woman in politics. I’ve always been interested in Chisholm, the first woman to run for president. I’m looking forward to reading her own words about her career.

Not Here to Be Liked by Michelle Quach

I received an ARC of this book and I’m really looking forward to reading it! It’s an enemies-to-lovers story, which is a trope I enjoy. I have heard a lot of buzz around this book, so I’m excited to finally be reading it.

Scary Stories for Young Foxes by Christian McKay Heidicker

I’m making it a priority to read this book this month. Actually, I’m planning on listening to the audiobook, because I have more time to listen to books than read them, these days. I don’t know too much about this book, but it seems really fun/spooky. I’m curious to see how it is because if I enjoy it, then I can book talk it come October.

The Silence Between Us by Alison Gervais

This book came in to my library not that long ago and it sounds so interesting! The main character is deaf, and I’m always curious to see disability representation in YA. I’m hoping for a well-written, strong story.

What books are you reading this month?

If you’ve read any books from my list, let me know what you thought of them. Do you have any of these selections on your TBR? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to chat with you.

Stay tuned for reviews. Thanks for stopping by!
